Here's what we were working with at this Lake View property - a worn-out wood fence that had clearly seen better days. Faded boards, moss and algae buildup, misaligned panels, and posts that were starting to give up. It wasn't doing much for privacy or security anymore. That's usually the point where patching just doesn't make sense.

We pulled the whole thing down and started fresh. New pressure-treated lumber, new posts set in concrete, clean lines from one end of the property to the other. Every bag of concrete mix paired up with a post, every board set tight. That's the kind of setup that's built to actually last - not just look good for a season.

The difference between a fence that holds up for years and one that doesn't comes down to how it's built from the ground up. Proper post depth, solid concrete footings, quality treated wood - those aren't shortcuts you can take and expect good results. We don't cut corners on the stuff you can't see, because that's exactly what determines how long the finished product holds up.

What this homeowner ended up with is a full wood privacy fence that gives them real separation from the neighbors, a defined boundary for the yard, and a clean look that works with the property. Living near the lake means dealing with moisture and humidity year-round - so using the right materials from the start matters even more.

Every fence job we do gets the same approach - tear out what's failing, build something solid in its place. No half-measures. If your fence is at the point where repairs aren't worth it, a full replacement done right is the better investment every time.
